MyMemoryTide Privacy Policy
Effective October 31, 2026. This policy covers MyMemoryTide, published by KTP and Data, Inc. (KTP Games).
Your photos
With your permission, MyMemoryTide reads the photos you allow (your full library or only the photos you select) and any iCloud Shared Albums you choose as sources. It uses them to show memories from this day in past years, find related pictures, and build slideshows. All of this processing happens on your iPhone, and your photos are never uploaded to us or anyone else by the app. You can change access anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → MyMemoryTide, or by tapping Select More Photos in the app.
The app only changes your library when you ask it to: if you delete a photo, iOS asks you to confirm first. Photos in iCloud Shared Albums belong to whoever shared them and can't be deleted from the app.
Search, dates, and places
To organize and search your memories (for example "beach," "dog," or a city name), MyMemoryTide uses information already stored in your photos, such as the date taken and the location recorded by your camera, and analyzes image content on your device. The app never accesses your iPhone's live location.
To turn a photo's location into a place name, the app uses Apple's built-in geocoding service. Only the location coordinates are sent to Apple for this lookup, never the photo itself, and nothing is sent to us. These lookups are covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Faces and People
The app only looks for faces when you tap Find Faces. It then finds faces in your photos on your device. It does not recognize or match anyone automatically: you choose which faces show the same person and what to call them. Face data and the names you assign are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or any third party, never used to identify anyone, and never sold, shared, or used for advertising. Face data is kept until you delete it (Erase & Re-scan in People) or delete the app, whichever comes first.
Slideshows and sharing
Slideshows you create are saved on your device. When you tap Share or Save to Photos, the iOS share sheet hands them to the app or service you choose (Messages, YouTube, Instagram, and so on), and that service's own terms and privacy policy apply. MyMemoryTide never sends anything anywhere on its own, and your sharing history is stored only on your device.
Notifications
Daily memory reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your iPhone. No push-notification server is involved.
Subscriptions
MyMemoryTide Premium is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. Apple handles payment and billing entirely, so we never see your payment details. You can manage or cancel the subscription anytime in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Subscriptions are covered by Apple's standard End User License Agreement.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. Because your content stays on your device, we can't see, recover, or delete it for you, and deleting the app deletes it. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports, which we use only to fix bugs.
If you email us
If you contact us, we use what you send only to reply to you. We don't add you to mailing lists or share your email address with anyone.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we'll post the new policy at this address and update the date at the top of this page.
